Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how payments made on TaskOnPhone — including the Scholarship Assessment Fee — are handled, and under what circumstances a refund or cancellation may apply.

Section 01

Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all payments made on taskonphone.com and through any TaskOnPhone-affiliated forms, including but not limited to the ₹49 Scholarship Assessment Fee for the TaskOnPhone Micro Influencer Scholarship Program.

By making any payment to TaskOnPhone, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this policy. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

TaskOnPhone is committed to transparency in all payment matters. Where a fee is described as non-refundable, this is stated clearly before payment is made — at no point will you be charged without prior disclosure.

Section 02

Scholarship Assessment Fee

The TaskOnPhone Micro Influencer Scholarship Program requires applicants to pay a one-time Scholarship Assessment Fee of ₹49 as part of the application process.

  • This fee covers the cost of application processing, screening assessment administration, and merit evaluation
  • The fee is collected at the time of application submission, via UPI or other payment methods specified on the application form
  • Payment of this fee does not guarantee selection into the scholarship program — selection is merit-based as described in the Terms of Use
  • The fee is the same for all applicants regardless of the outcome of their application

The ₹49 Scholarship Assessment Fee is non-refundable under normal circumstances, including if an applicant is not selected for the scholarship. This is clearly disclosed to applicants before payment.

Section 03

Non-refundable circumstances

The following situations are not eligible for a refund:

  • The applicant was not selected through the merit-based scholarship screening process
  • The applicant changed their mind after making the payment
  • The applicant provided incorrect or incomplete information in their application
  • The applicant did not complete the screening assessment after payment
  • The applicant was found to be ineligible after payment (for example, below 18 years of age) due to information not disclosed at the time of application
  • The applicant was selected but chose not to proceed with training or onboarding

In all the above cases, the ₹49 Scholarship Assessment Fee will be retained by TaskOnPhone to cover the cost of processing and evaluation already incurred.

Section 04

Refund-eligible circumstances

A refund may be considered only in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Duplicate payment — if you were accidentally charged ₹49 more than once for the same application
  • Technical error — if a payment was deducted from your account but your application was not successfully recorded due to a technical fault on our end
  • Incorrect amount charged — if an amount different from the stated ₹49 fee was deducted
  • Program cancellation by TaskOnPhone — if TaskOnPhone cancels the scholarship program entirely before screening is conducted

If any of the above apply to you, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount incorrectly charged. Contact us within 7 days of the transaction with your payment proof.

Section 05

How to request a refund

If you believe you are eligible for a refund under Section 4, please follow these steps:

  • Email payments@taskonphone.com within 7 days of the transaction
  • Use the subject line: "Refund Request — Scholarship Assessment Fee"
  • Include your full name, registered mobile number, and the email/phone used during application
  • Attach a screenshot or transaction reference number (UTR/UPI reference ID) showing the payment
  • Briefly describe the reason for your refund request

Our payments team will review your request and respond within 5 business days. If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method (UPI/bank account) used for the transaction.

Once a refund is approved, here is what to expect:

Actual credit timelines may vary depending on your bank or UPI provider, typically taking 3–7 additional business days to reflect after processing.

Section 07

Cancellation policy

Cancellation by the applicant

Once the ₹49 Scholarship Assessment Fee has been paid and the application submitted, the application cannot be "cancelled" in a way that triggers a refund, as the assessment process begins upon submission. If you wish to withdraw from the program after being selected, you may do so by emailing support@taskonphone.com — no further fees will be charged, but the assessment fee already paid remains non-refundable.

Cancellation by TaskOnPhone

TaskOnPhone reserves the right to cancel or postpone the scholarship program, a specific cohort, or any associated training session due to insufficient applications, unforeseen circumstances, or operational reasons. In such cases:

  • All affected applicants will be notified via email, SMS, or WhatsApp
  • If the program is cancelled before the screening process is conducted, affected applicants are entitled to a full refund of the ₹49 fee as per Section 4
  • If the program is cancelled after screening has been completed and results announced, the assessment fee remains non-refundable as the service (evaluation) has been delivered

Cancellation of ongoing assignments (for selected scholars)

For scholarship recipients who receive access to content promotion assignments, individual assignments may be cancelled or withdrawn by TaskOnPhone or the business client at any stage before completion, in line with the Terms of Use. No fee is charged for assignment participation, so this does not involve a refund.

Section 08

Payment methods

TaskOnPhone currently accepts the Scholarship Assessment Fee via the following methods:

Always retain your payment confirmation screenshot or transaction reference number (UTR) until your application status is confirmed, as this is required for any refund or dispute request.

Section 09

Payment disputes

If you notice an unauthorised transaction, an incorrect amount charged, or any discrepancy related to a payment made to TaskOnPhone, please:

  • Contact us immediately at payments@taskonphone.com with your transaction details
  • If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction within 15 days, you may raise a dispute with your bank or UPI provider directly
  • For unauthorised transactions, please also report the matter to your bank/UPI provider as per their fraud reporting process

TaskOnPhone does not store your card, UPI PIN, or banking credentials at any point. All payments are processed directly through UPI apps or third-party payment gateways governed by RBI regulations.
