Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TaskOnPhone ("Company", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the TaskOnPhone website at taskonphone.com and its mobile application (collectively the "Platform").
By registering for an account, accessing the Platform, completing a task, or posting a task, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
These Terms were last updated on 1 January 2025. We may update them from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of significant changes via SMS or in-app notification.
Eligibility
To use TaskOnPhone, you must meet the following eligibility criteria at all times:
- You must be at least 18 years of age
- You must be a resident of India or a legally registered entity in India
- You must possess a valid Indian mobile number for account verification
- You must be capable of entering into a legally binding contract under Indian law
- You must not have been previously suspended or banned from the Platform
- For workers receiving payouts above ₹50,000 per financial year, valid Aadhaar and PAN details are required for KYC compliance
We reserve the right to verify your eligibility at any time and suspend accounts where eligibility requirements are not met.
User accounts
Account creation
You must create an account to use the Platform as a worker or business. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it if it changes. Each person or entity may hold only one account unless expressly authorised by us in writing.
Account security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must immediately notify us at support@taskonphone.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
Account verification
We may require you to complete identity verification (KYC) at any point. Failure to complete verification when requested may result in suspension of your account or withholding of pending earnings until verification is complete.
Never share your OTP, password, or account credentials with anyone — including anyone claiming to be from TaskOnPhone. We will never ask for your password or OTP via phone call or SMS.
Workers & businesses
The Platform serves two distinct types of users. Your rights and obligations depend on which role you register under.

- Access earnings history and statements
🏢 Businesses
- Post tasks with defined scope and payment
- Set eligibility criteria for workers
- Review and approve task submissions
- Access aggregated task results and reports
- Use Enterprise API for bulk task deployment
- Manage billing and invoicing via dashboard
TaskOnPhone acts solely as a marketplace facilitating the connection between workers and businesses. We are not a party to any agreement between a worker and a business, and we are not an employer of workers on the Platform.
Tasks & quality standards
For workers
When you accept a task, you agree to complete it honestly, accurately, and to the best of your ability within the specified time and guidelines. Submitting false, fabricated, or low-quality work is a serious breach of these Terms and may result in account suspension and forfeiture of earnings for that task.
- Read task instructions fully before beginning
- Submit only genuine responses — do not copy from other workers or external sources
- Complete tasks within the time limit specified in the task brief
- Do not attempt to complete tasks for which you do not meet the stated eligibility criteria
- Do not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to complete tasks
For businesses
Tasks posted on the Platform must be legal, ethical, and comply with all applicable Indian laws. Businesses are responsible for providing clear, accurate, and unambiguous task instructions.
- Tasks must not require workers to engage in any illegal activity
- Payment amounts must be clearly stated before workers accept a task
- Approval or rejection decisions must be made within 7 business days of submission
- Rejection of work must be accompanied by a specific reason
- Businesses may not use the Platform to collect competitor intelligence through deceptive tasks
TaskOnPhone reserves the right to arbitrate disputes between workers and businesses regarding task approvals. Our decision in such disputes is final and binding on both parties.
Payments & fees
The Platform processes all payments between businesses and workers. The following terms govern all financial transactions on TaskOnPhone.
Disputed payments
If you believe a payment has been incorrectly withheld or calculated, you must raise a dispute within 14 days of the payment date. Disputes raised after this period may not be entertained. Contact payments@taskonphone.com with your transaction ID and details.
Refunds for businesses
Task credits deposited by businesses are non-refundable once tasks have been published. Unused credits may be carried forward to future tasks or refunded at our discretion upon written request, subject to a processing fee.
Prohibited conduct
The following activities are strictly prohibited on TaskOnPhone. Violation of any of these may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of earnings, and legal action.
Bots & automation
Using scripts, bots, or any automated tools to complete tasks or interact with the Platform
Multiple accounts
Creating more than one worker or business account without written permission from TaskOnPhone
Fraudulent submissions
Submitting false, copied, or fabricated task responses with intent to earn payment
Impersonation
Misrepresenting your identity, qualifications, or location when registering or completing tasks
Unauthorised access
Attempting to access restricted areas of the Platform, other users' accounts, or backend systems
Illegal tasks
Posting or completing tasks that involve illegal activity, hate speech, harassment, or harm to others
Off-platform payments
Soliciting or accepting payment for tasks outside of the TaskOnPhone payment system
Data scraping
Extracting, copying, or scraping any data from the Platform without express written permission
We actively monitor the Platform for fraudulent activity using automated systems and human review. Workers found to be submitting fraudulent responses will have their accounts permanently banned and all pending earnings forfeited.
Intellectual property
Our intellectual property
All content on the Platform — including the TaskOnPhone name, logo, design, software, text, graphics, and data — is the exclusive property of TaskOnPhone or its licensors and is protected under Indian copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our Platform without express written permission.
Task content ownership
When a worker submits a task completion, the intellectual property rights in that submission are transferred to the business that posted the task, subject to full payment being made. TaskOnPhone retains a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use anonymised task data for Platform improvement and analytics purposes.
User content
Any content you submit to the Platform — including profile information, reviews, and feedback — grants TaskOnPhone a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the Platform.
Liability & disclaimers
TaskOnPhone provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we make every effort to ensure the Platform is reliable and secure, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- We are not liable for any loss of earnings arising from Platform downtime, technical errors, or task rejections made in good faith
- We are not liable for the quality, accuracy, or legality of tasks posted by businesses
- We are not liable for the quality or honesty of work submitted by workers
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the Platform shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in the 3 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses of any kind
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Indian law.
Termination
Termination by you
You may close your account at any time by going to Account Settings and selecting "Delete Account". Any approved and pending earnings at the time of deletion will be paid out to your registered UPI account within 7 business days, provided all KYC requirements are met.
Termination by us
We may suspend or permanently terminate your account immediately and without prior notice if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or posed a risk to the Platform or other users. In cases of suspected fraud, earnings may be withheld pending investigation.

Disputes
Between workers and businesses
If a dispute arises between a worker and a business regarding task approval, payment, or quality, either party may escalate the matter to TaskOnPhone's Resolution Team within 14 days. We will review the evidence provided by both parties and issue a binding decision within 10 business days.
Between you and TaskOnPhone
We encourage you to contact us at legal@taskonphone.com to resolve any dispute informally before pursuing formal proceedings. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be referred to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 of India. The place of arbitration shall be New Delhi. All proceedings shall be conducted in English.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. The courts of New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, subject to the arbitration clause in Section 11.
These Terms are subject to applicable Indian legislation including but not limited to the Information Technology Act 2000, the Consumer Protection Act 2019, the Contract Act 1872, and the Payment and Settlement Systems Act 2007.
